Created Font Review

As a web designer, I often look for fonts that bring personality to a site without sacrificing readability. Created from Script Amp caught my eye with its sweet, handwritten charm. I’ve been testing it on a few real projects, and it’s proving to be a versatile addition to any digital toolkit.

Testing Created in a Hero Section

I started by using Created in a hero section for a boutique online store. The font’s friendly curves and soft edges gave the page a warm, inviting feel. It worked well as the main headline, drawing attention without overwhelming the design. On desktop, it looked great, but on mobile, I noticed the characters were a bit tight. I adjusted the letter spacing slightly, and it improved the legibility without losing the font’s character.

Using Created for Call-to-Action Buttons

Next, I tried using Created for a call-to-action button on a product landing page. The font’s playful style made the button stand out, which is exactly what I needed for a high-conversion area. However, I found that the font didn’t work as well for smaller buttons. When the text was too small, the details got lost, making it harder to read. For larger buttons or headings, though, it’s a great choice.

Pairing Created with a Clean Sans Serif

One of the best things about Created is how it pairs with other fonts. I used it alongside a simple sans serif for body copy on a blog redesign. The contrast between the two fonts created a balanced look—clean and modern, yet approachable. This combination works well for websites that want to maintain professionalism while still feeling personal and creative.

Created in Digital Ads and Social Media Graphics

I also tested Created in a series of social media graphics for a digital course. The font added a handmade touch that matched the brand’s aesthetic. It worked especially well for headlines and captions. I noticed that when used over images or dark backgrounds, the font stood out nicely, but on light backgrounds, it sometimes felt a bit washed out. Adjusting the weight helped, but I’d recommend keeping it for short phrases rather than long blocks of text.

Considerations for Web Use

While Created is a beautiful display font, it’s not ideal for body text. The font’s decorative elements can make long paragraphs hard to scan, especially on mobile devices. If you’re using it for headings, logos, or decorative accents, it shines. But for anything that needs to be read quickly or repeatedly, a simpler font would be better.

Another thing to keep in mind is webfont availability. Make sure the font is available in web-friendly formats like WOFF or WOFF2, especially if you’re using it on a client project or an online store. Also, check the licensing terms to ensure it’s suitable for commercial use, especially if you’re designing for multiple clients or selling digital templates.

Final Thoughts on Created

Created is a font that brings warmth and personality to digital designs. It’s perfect for headers, logos, and short phrases where visual appeal matters. While it may not be the best choice for body text, its charm makes it a valuable asset for web designers looking to add a handmade touch to their sites. Whether you're building a portfolio, a landing page, or a brand identity, Created offers a unique blend of creativity and usability.
